Nationally, as an industry, the job outlook for massage therapists is good. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, “Employment of massage therapists is projected to grow 22 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Continued growth in the demand for massage services will lead to new openings for massage therapists.”
Part of this grow comes from the increasing number of spas and massage clinics in recent years to keep up with the growing demand for massage services. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects massage therapist employment growth of 22 percent between 2014 and 2024, adding 36,500 more professionals to this field.
