About Globe University/Minnesota School of Business
The college and school of business were originally two separate entities. Globe University was founded in 1885 by Frank Maron in order to provide a practical education for students in business. Since its beginnings, Globe focused on teaching business as it is practiced in actual businesses – not theory or philosophy but actual tried and true techniques.
The Minnesota School of Business was founded in 1877 by Alexander Archibald and focused on English, shorthand, penmanship, and bookkeeping – all practical skills for that world. Since then, the same family has come to own both institutions.
The commitment to providing relevant instructions in skills that students would need in the business world hasn’t changed: what has is the scope of the programs offered by Globe University/Minnesota School of Business.
Now the program offerings include accounting, business administration, health care management, criminal justice, information technology, sales and marketing, massage therapy, and much more.
