American Career College was founded in 1978. At first, ACC specialized in optics; later the curriculum expanded to meet the needs of the community. American Career College allows students to earn certificates in the program of study they are interested in – ACC isn’t a traditional two or four year college and doesn’t award associate’s or bachelor’s degrees.
The certificates, however, are recognized and respected by employers. Programs last between eight and ten months and focus on what the students need to succeed in their field.
