North-West College offers an Associate’s in Applied Science degree program and a diploma program in massage therapy. The Associate’s program typically takes two years to complete, while the diploma program requires completion of 770 hours of coursework.

Here are some of the main areas of concentration for Massage Therapy students: swedish massage, Shiatsu massage, sports massage/Reflexology, spa services, Wellness Strategies, deep tissue massage, understanding pain, alternative massage methods, and CPR.
Upon completion of the Massage Therapy program, graduates will be able to find work in hospitals, pain management clinics, rehabilitation clinics, nursing homes, spas, salons, and private practice, among other opportunities. They will also be able to effectively work with a variety of clients with differing physical and emotional needs.

Northwest College has five campuses throughout California. The Pasadena campus is located at 530 E. Union Street. The building contains classrooms, labs, library, and student services. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming and encourages learning and interaction.
Northwest College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.
Ninety-eight percent of Northwest students receive some form of financial aid, and as an accredited institution, Northwest participates in federal aid programs. Students need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine if they meet eligibility requirements.
Students are also able to make interest-free payments to the college. Financial aid representatives are happy to meet with students and applicants to discuss financial need and payment options.
The land that was to become Pasadena was first inhabited by Native Americans from the Hahamog-na tribe, and in fact, the town was known as Indian Colony. A more distinctive name was found when Indian Colony citizen Dr. Thomas Elliot contacted a missionary working with Native Americans in Michigan.
The missionary sent several Indian words that fit the Colony, many of which ended in Pasadena, which means of the valley. Today, Pasadena is best known for its hosting of the Rose Bowl Game and Tournament of Roses Parade.
It is also an emerging center of culture and technology, home to CalTech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as well as several institutions of higher learning and museums.
