The city hosts the annual Asparagus Festival and is the location of Haggin Museum, an art and history museum built in Victory Park in 1931. The museum displays 19th and 20th century works of art and houses local historical exhibits.
The city’s cultural scene features the Stockton Symphony, the Stockton Arena, the Bob Hope Theater and the Stockton Opera.
Although historically an agricultural community, Stockton’s economy now includes the telecommunications and manufacturing industries.
