Providing the education needed in order to seek entry-level employment as a massage therapist, the Massage Therapy curriculum at Everest University provides a balance of clinical skills, technical knowledge, and academic expertise.
The Massage Therapy program introduces you to over 20 different modalities including Spa and Wellness, Sports, Deep Tissue and Shiatsu. Students can also learn anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology to become a massage therapists. The program is divided between the classroom and hands-on lab.
The program consists of one pre-requisite course and eight self-contained units of learning called modules. The pre-requisite is designed to provide the students with the basic information necessary to lay a strong foundation for the program. Each student must successfully complete the pre-requisite course before moving on to any one of the remaining modules in the program.
Included in this program are Anatomy and Physiology, as well as introduction to principles and practices of massage therapy, massage fundamentals, massage and bodywork, pathology, business and success skills, and health and wellness.
