Gwinnett College began offering 9 month massage therapy diplomas since June 2006 when they acquired the Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health. The school’s main focus is to provide their students with the tools and skills that they need to become a successful massage therapist.
The courses touch on kinesiology, Swedish deep tissue massage, musculoskeletal anatomy, chair massage, and reflexology. Students also learn skills in how to be a successful practitioner. There are also classes in massage safety, client counseling, and ethics, among others.
