About the Massage Therapy Program
Massage therapy is a growing field with the health care industry. The benefits offered are enormous. Pain management, injury prevention, stress relief, tension relief, muscle maintenance and health – all of these are possible with massage therapy.
Pinnacle Career Institute/Lawrence offers a nine month certificate program in Massage Therapy. Upon completion, students can be eligible to sit for the National Commission on Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork exam. They can also be prepared to work in settings from hospitals and pain management clinics to spas, salons, and resorts.
Hands-on, practical learning is the guiding principle of Pinnacle Career Institute. As part of this ideal, faculty members are all professionals in the fields they teach. This is especially important for Massage Therapy students because they can learn about various techniques and then have them demonstrated.
They also get an insider’s view of the business before they even enter it. This, and the invaluable advice students receive from their instructors, further prepares them to be successful in the massage therapy profession.
Pinnacle has three campuses through Kansas and Missouri as well as an online campus. The Lawrence campus is located at 1601 West 23rd Street in the heart of Lawrence. A full array of student services are available, as are professional quality tools and equipment for students to hone their skills on. In addition, there is a student Massage Therapy clinic.
The clinic is open to the public and members of the community can come in to enjoy a student massage at a reduced price. This allows students to perfect their skills and techniques while fulfilling their educational requirements. It’s a win-win situation.
