The South Dakota Board of Massage Therapy oversees the issuance of the massage therapy license.
The state requires at least 500 hours of education and training. South Dakota requires that the NCETMB, NCETM, NESL, or NBCA exam must be taken. Applicants must also have a certification in adult CPR.
The license renewal period occurs every year and 8 hours of CE have to be completed.
