Dover Business College's Massage for Wellness Program
The Massage for Wellness program combines a strong foundation in therapeutic massage instruction with traditional healthcare courses as a complimentary approach to wellness.
The program integrates both theory and practice, allowing students to maximize their classroom learning with hands-on training. Many courses include massage specialists as guest lecturers.
The program provides its graduates with a solid foundation in massage techniques, exercise, and anatomy and physiology. It prepares them to administer a variety of wellness benefits and to work in a variety of settings, including medical offices, hospitals, chiropractic and orthopedic clinics, corporate wellness programs, spas, athletic clubs, hotels and resorts, and salons.Many graduates prefer to develop a private clientele.
As a student, you will learn about the major categories of massage and the difference between licensure and certification. You will also be introduced to anatomy and physiology along with the study of alignment and movement (biomechanics).
You will then apply basic concepts and practice a variety of Therapeutic Swedish Massage movements including touch, gliding, kneading, friction, joint movements, and the importance of posture and stance as a means of increasing strength and balance.
In the Internship Work-experience program, you will be supervised in a therapeutic massage environment which provides students with hands-on experience.

The Clifton campus is located in a modern four-story building. In addition to classrooms, the building houses fully equipped medical and massage laboratories as well as a student massage clinic for those enrolled in healthcare programs.A student lounge with vending machines is located on the third floor.
This campus is located in northern Bergen County and easily is accessible via Interstate 80, Routes 17 and 4, and from the Garden State Parkway. New Jersey Transit bus stops are within walking distance.
