Massage Therapy Programs
The Professional Massage Therapy Program provides students with the information and the resources to become successful massage therapists. The program is keenly focused on the art and science of massage therapy, but also recognizes that, in order to be successful, graduates must also be taught about of the necessary elements of managing a massage therapy business.
Within the framework of the Professional Massage Therapy Program, students will learn light energy applications as well as structural massage therapy modalities. Both Eastern and Western theory and techniques are taught and students will understand how to treat specific pain and dysfunction. The coursework includes Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology to insure that students are well trained as health practitioners. Additionally, the program teaches and encourages a holistic approach to health and healing.
The Arizona School of Massage Therapy does an exceptional job of teaching students to translate their massage skills into a successful business or career enterprise. The Professional Development course includes lessons about beginning and managing a massage therapy business, personal presentation, advertising, resume writing, job interviewing skills and other key components of career management. Students also complete a Clinical Internship so they will be familiar with the environment and the activities of a massage therapy practice.
