Cherry Hill is a township in Camden County with a population of just under 70,000. In 2006, it was determined by Money magazine to be one of the top 50 places to live in the U.S. with a population over 50,000.
Cherry Hill was occupied by the Lenni Lenape tribe before Quaker settlers followed William Penn to the area in the late 17th century. The area experienced explosive growth after World War II and the name Cherry Hill was formally selected in 1961. The township was named after a farm that belonged to a major local developer. Cherry Hill is strategically located just across the river from Philadelphia.
