About Lincoln Technical Institute
Lincoln Technical Institute was started just after WWII to respond to a need for job training for returning war veterans. The goal then, and now, was to provide students with knowledge and training that would allow them to be productive and profitable members of the work force. Employers have come to expect great things from the graduates of Lincoln Tech and they can continue to feel confident.

Massage Therapy Program
Instructors in the art and science of massage at Lincoln Tech view therapeutic massage as a holistic approach to health. The massage therapy program is structured to include a combination of hands-on training and thorough coursework in the science of massage. Students will receive extensive training in anatomy and physiology in order to have a complete understanding of the internal mechanics of massage therapy.
It is the goal of the massage therapy program to prepare students to offer the healing touch of a skilled massage therapist to clients. Students will understand how to treat the whole person, emotionally and physically, as they use massage to promote relaxation, reduce stress, treat and prevent injuries and enhance blood flow to all muscle groups.
In addition to excellent training in massage therapy, students will also be trained to successfully launch a career as a massage therapist. Whether they choose to start their own business or seek employment with a spa or health care facility, Lincoln Tech will make sure that students learn the skills necessary to build and launch a business or market themselves to prospective employers.
Financial Aid
The goal of the staff at Lincoln Tech is to help each student to identify every relevant method of funding an education. If financial assistance is required, they will help you formulate a funding plan. The plan may include Federal and State grants, loans, private financing or developing an affordable payment plan.
Students eligible for Federal aid may benefit from Stafford Loans, PLUS loans or Pell grants. Lincoln Tech students receive more than $1 million in scholarships each year. The financial aid staff will assist students in determining eligibility and filing appropriate applications.

The Lincoln, RI Campus of Lincoln Tech is conveniently located at the Lincoln Mall, a community mall featuring a variety of shops and restaurants. The size and location of this site is conducive to a very positive learning environment and the staff and instructors provide personal attention for each student.

Going to School in Lincoln, Rhode Island
Lincoln, RI is a town of just about 21,000 located just north of Providence. Lincoln was an important mill town and textile factories once dotted the banks of the Blackstone River.
The Great Road Historic District offers much of the charm and ambience of the area as it wa in the 1800s. There are quite a few historical structures in Lincoln including some “stone-enders” a style of house unique to Rhode Island.
