As the name suggests, the ATI Career Training Center is a vocational school offering entry-level training in career fields like healthcare, information technology, and HVAC. The massage program, which is offered at select locations, can be completed in under a year, helping students to move through the educational process and enter the working world quickly and efficiently. This particular campus is set in Lewisville, TX, an affluent city center north of Dallas.
ATI has been in operation for more than 30 years, providing training in vocational careers in the fields of health care, personal fitness and wellness, business technology, information technology, automotive repair, air conditioning and refrigeration repair, and welding, just to name a few. The entire ATI Schools and Colleges group operates 16 campuses across Texas, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oklahoma.

There are two massage options for students considering ATI in Lewisville. The massage therapy (MT) program can be completed in as little as seven months when taken as a full-time course. Students work through various massage techniques, hydrotherapy and spa treatments, and clinical massage methods in order to prepare for entry-level work in the field.
For more advanced learning, the school also offers a professional massage therapy (PMT) diploma program that builds on the MT course to add more advanced techniques and massage industry classes (like business, CPR, and ethics). This course can be completed in as little as eight months.
Both day and evening classes exist, so students with work schedules or families have flexible options. The tools covered by class fees and provided as part of the training program at ATI include textbooks, a portable massage table, scrubs, and other items. Graduates get to keep these items when they leave the school.
Faculty and staff members are considered by the school to be part of an “extended family.” This term is used to demonstrate that your educational and career goals matter to the instructors, and it is their goal to prepare you to enter the massage field with the right skills in place. Hands-on participation is the primary learning format at ATI’s massage program, so students should be prepared to attend each class.
The Lewisville site is a satellite campus of the Richardson, TX location, offering a smaller and more select group of programs. In addition to massage therapy, students here can learn spa administration, personal fitness training, dental assisting, medical assisting, or respiratory therapy.
This campus of the ATI Career Training Center is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The ACCSC, an independent accrediting agency, provides accreditation to schools that meet a standard in academics and ethics.
The massage therapy (MT) program at ATI is not part of the Title IV Federal Student Aid program, which means that students entering this course may not apply through the FAFSA and receive government loans or grants. This means that private scholarships and Veteran’s benefits might also not be applicable here.
Additional financial support may be available in the form of private, third-party loans or payment plans, but these are determined based on individual need and credit rating. For more information on paying for school, prospective students are directed to contact the financial aid department.
Lewisville is a popular Dallas suburb, close enough to the city center that individuals can commute for work or for play, but far enough that the area retains its own kind of family-centered charm. A number of cultural and recreational opportunities exist here, ranging from theaters and parks to golf courses. A strong local economy, low property taxes, and great transportation options only add to the appeal of life in this town. Upon graduation from ATI, students can stay here in hopes of finding work among the local community or move to the larger city center, where massage jobs tend to open up more often.
