About the Massage Therapy Program

The Massage Therapy curriculum at Everest College in Newport News provides a balance of clinical skills, technical knowledge, and academic expertise. In addition to training in business and ethics, students of this program will learn about Swedish massage, Eastern theory and practice, clinical and sports massage and health and wellness.

In addition, students will also receive hands-on training in pre-natal/post-natal massage, infant and geriatric massage, energy and non-traditional therapies, CPR, and Western theory and practice. The first English speaking colony in America was established at Jamestown, just a few miles away. The colonists defeated the British at Yorktown in 1781, a victory which ended the Revolutionary War. Colonial Williamsburg, with its historic charm, is not far away, not to mention the fun and adventure of Busch Gardens.
