About the Massage Therapy Program

The Massage Therapy curriculum at Everest College in Tacoma provides a balance of clinical skills, technical knowledge, and academic expertise. In addition to training in anatomy and physiology, students of this program will learn about seated massage, kinesiology, deep-tissue massage, positioning, and draping.

In addition, students will also receive hands-on training in record keeping, screening techniques, advanced massage, and Swedish full-body massage. With this well-rounded training, graduates of the massage therapy program at Everest Institute may seek employment in a hospital, doctor’s office, health spa, fitness center, or rehabilitation center.

About the Massage Therapy – Spa Specialist Program

A hands-on curriculum, the Massage Therapy – Spa Specialist program at Everest College blends the concepts of spa therapy, massage therapy, and aromatherapy. Training topics include body wraps, buff and bronze, spa foot treatments, working with clay and mud, and Eastern-inspired treatments.

Students of this program will also learn how to use seaweed, deep tissue massage, seated massage, anatomy/physiology, kinesiology, Swedish full-body massage, and advanced massage techniques. Graduates of the Massage Therapy – Spa Specialist program are prepared to seek employment on a cruise ship, or in hospitals, rehab centers, fitness centers, and doctor’s offices.
