Located in the heart of this midwestern city, the school offers students a balanced education involving science, technique, and heart. High standards and hands-on preparation mean that graduates are equipped with the skills needed in order to pursue their professional goals.

Massage Therapy Program

A highly experiential program, the Massage Therapy curriculum at Cortiva Institute – Chicago School of Massage Therapy is grounded in science and best practices.

Throughout the course of the program, students will learn how to make a real difference in the health of their clients via a solid foundation of therapeutic technique skills. As graduates soon become colleagues, the students and faculty at Cortiva Institute are working towards the same goal.

A comprehensive training program, students will learn about the communication, business, and clinical aspects of the profession in order to become confident members of this exciting profession In addition, students will learn via instructors who actively practice what they preach in the classroom, and are selected for their dedication to the healing arts, expertise, and passion for teaching.

Maternity and Infant Massage

Cortiva – Chicago also offers a Maternity and Infant Massage program, which is an emerging specialty. This program is designed for certified professional massage therapists who want to further their careers. A big focus is on communication and compassion, as the clientele are either pregnant women or infants. Five hundred hours of training are required to enroll in the ten month program.

Continuing Education

The Chicago campus of Cortiva Institute – Chicago School of Massage Therapy is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork to provide continuing education for licensed health care providers. Courses include: Doula Workshop, Orthopedic Assessment for the Lower Body, Reiki, Thai Massage, Stone Massage, Mud Wraps, and much more. These courses are for those massage therapists who want to expand their expertise and advance their careers.

Faculty

Cortiva – Chicago faculty members are exceptional teachers; lead instructors are Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and have an average of five years teaching experience. They are also professionals in the massage therapy field.

Facilities

A modern, up-to-date facility, the Loop campus of Cortiva Institute features new massage equipment, A/V lecture technology, and  a computerized student resource center and student lounge. In addition, the campus operates a brand-new Student Clinic, located at 18 North Wabash.

Accreditation

Both Chicago campuses of Cortiva Institute – Chicago School of Massage Therapy are accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (“COMTA”).

Financial Aid

Cortiva – Chicago participates in federal student assistance programs. Students need to fill out a FAFSA to determine if they meet eligibility requirements. In addition, payment plans can be developed to help individual students meet their financial obligations. Students should meet with financial aid representatives to discuss their individual needs.
